First Generation:
The first generation of Lexus NX was unveiled at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in April 2014. Lexus NX models sold in the United States have slightly variable rolls, making it easier to define top exit angles, as determined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as an off-road vehicle. The vehicle began selling in the American market in November 2014, with production starting in August of the same year at Toyota's Miyata plant.
The first generation of Lexus NX is available in Saudi Arabia with three engines, namely the NX 200t/300, NX 300h, and NX 200. The NX 200t/300 is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 238 horsepower and 350 Newton-meters of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and offering both Otto and Atkinson cycles. This engine features Lexus' efficient combustion with turbo fuel injection. Lexus NX 300h is powered by a 2.5-liter engine coupled with an electric motor and a CVT, producing 197 horsepower. Lexus NX 200 is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower for the Russian market.
Second Generation:
The second generation of Lexus NX was globally unveiled in Saudi Arabia and around the world in June 2021, with four models introduced, including two with gasoline engines and two with hybrid powertrains. The gasoline models feature a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 279 horsepower and 430 Newton-meters of torque. Meanwhile, the hybrid models operate electrically and share the same powertrain as the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.

In 2018, Lexus unveiled the NX model in Saudi Arabia. This model offers a choice between two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 235 horsepower with a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 2.5-liter hybrid 4-cylinder engine generating 194 horsepower with a nickel-metal hydride battery. Lexus introduced the NX model in Saudi Arabia in 2019. This model features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 235 horsepower with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Lexus NX model was launched in Saudi Arabia in 2020. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine generating 235 horsepower and paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Lexus introduced the second-generation NX in 2022. It is available in four versions: NX 250, NX 350, NX 350h, and NX 450h+.
